DPHS (Borders) tries to ensure that we are kept up to date with what is happening with current legislation.
We are actively working with all the key local housing providers,
the Scottish Government and local Registered Social Landlords
to highlight the very real problems that disabled people and their families are facing in making their homes accessible and ensuring they can live in their own communities.
We host what was the "Central Borders Access Panel " now known as "AccessAble" and with the help of the Scottish Disability Equality Forum we have ensured that two members have completed an access and design course at Heriot Watt University which we will put to good use.
We welcome any enquiries or phone calls to our office and we are committed to making the homes of our clients as accessible as possible.
